Just because a product is FDA approved does’nt mean SHIT.The FDA also approved Phen Phen and that red food dye(both were later taken off the market). If a product was truly safe then it would not need FDA approval in the first place.Only dangerous drugs require FDA approval so please try to use your common sense.Yeah, you igonorant people who trust in the pharmeceutical industry are BRAINWASHED.Please remember the FDA is a GOVERNMENT SPONSORED AGENCY.They will approve almost any product that is good for the economy and will make money.I can’t beleive some of the bullshit products they approve every year.FDA approval means WATCH OUT!!

The biggest thing to watch out for is advice from people like you. Just because you may have had no response and/or a negative reaction to an FDA approved medication, does not mean that this is the case with everyone. Many find great benefit from FDA approved treatments. Furthermore, while FDA approval is not a guarrantee of safety it at least indicates that the treatment went through some sort of review process.

Anonymous, you are ignorant. You have no knowledge of the drug industry and how many drugs do NOT get FDA approval because they are unsafe. ALL new drugs require FDA approval, jackass. If FDA was just trying to improve the economy, they would approve all drugs. I can’t believe I’m even responding to such a stupid post. There are countless biotech companies that went belly up because their product did not meet FDA approval. Meanwhile we have treatments and cures for a variety of diseases because FDA was able to seperate the good drugs from the bad.

FDA approval means it went trhough clinical testing in order to get an idea of safety, CORRECT DOSAGE, side effects, and how well the drug works. Okay, PhenPhen was a slipup, but can you imagine what would be going on if the drug industry was not regulated. We have FDA because of the garbage that went on before it was established.

Don’t take any aspirin, it’s FDA approved and therefore not safe. Meanwhile, you should go around trying to get some of the hair growth formula that FDA did not approve. You can start with this silo biotech crap, then go on to the stuff that was found to be too unsafe for usage.

Yeah o.k. so everybody has an opinion.I just get tired of ignorant people telling 17 year olds to use Propecia and Rogaine for their hairloss. You purveyors of the drug industry can keep putting harmful chemicals into your bodies BUT DON’T ENCOURAGE KIDS TO USE THE SHIT.Just because the FDA “says” the products are safe does not guarantee they are.I have seen many posts on the website regarding heart palpitations and sexual disfuction from Rogaine and Propecia.I too had a bad experince with the shit and will never put another pharmeceutical into my body..My sister had a bad experience with Phen Phen and now she may have permanent heart damage.I did’nt say all FDA approved products were harmful.I just said to watch out and use common sense. This is good advice and those of you who call me “ignorant” have a lot of learning to do yourself. The posts on this website prove my point anyway–LOL

Well anyone telling someone that is 17 that they should get on Propecia is a moron and any 17 year old that listen to them and starts taking it is much worse. I am guessing by your post that you don’t even take asprin or any type of flu medication when you are sick. And if by some unfortunate mishap you end get into a car wreck you request that they don’t use any drugs on you. Those warnings are on almost every over the counter drug out there, this is nothing new unless you have been living in isolation on some island or in the remote moutains somewhere for quite some time now. They put all possible side effects on the box which gives the consumer the option to weigh wheather taking a product is worth the remote chance that you will experience side effects. If these side effects were very common then the product would not make it onto the market, unless it could possibly save lives.

Phen Phen was a fuck up no doubt about it, but no one has ever said the FDA was a perfect organization. Letting one bad product slip by, in the long run, has helped the FDA become more careful about putting their approval on products. Personally I think the FDA does its job very well, which is give the consummers accurate information about the products we purchase. I am very glad that it excists, like with anything though there is always room for improvement.
