arginine increases prolactin along with GH, also increases NO output

but a component of prolactin seems to inhibit VEGF and eNOS, check it out, thoughts?

what does this mean for arginine, IH, STS, Jacob, anyone?

in the results, it also states:

“16K-PRL but not PRL inhibits VEGF-induced NOS activity in endothelial cells”

ummm, so that component alone only inhibits eNOS, not prolactin itself? some1 care to expand on this…are they two separate entities?

crzyakta- An unfortunate situation with Arginine supplementation is a Prolactin Spike.I was aware of this problem during my Nitric Oxide research.

However Dopamine lowers Prolactin.

I would advise taking Chasteberry and Macuna Pruriens to raise Dopamine levels as well as extra Zinc and Vitamin B6.

It would make sense to specific target 16K PRL but at the moment I have no time for research and that is the reason I have been so quiet recently.I have been working two jobs but I will resume posting again as soon as I can.

could you not also take cabergoline to reduce prolactin levels?

Steve, I don’t think it’s a good idea to raise Dopamine. Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter and messing with that isn’t a good idea. Some drugs also raise Dopamine and have very bad side effects. What would the long term effect be of increased dopamine?

clemenza…i would not count arg out by a LONG shot…in the long run it is the way to go for GH stimulation and NO production

PS is that you at the bodybuilding.com boards?

crzyakta, yeah that’s me and it’s weird bc I just noticed you on a thread over there the other day. I used to live on that forum, but honestly, everything on there is just so redundant these days. Same threads over and over again. Now unfortunately I spend more time over here.

As for NO… I get the best pump from Di-L-Arginine-L-Malate. I use a product called Nitrocharge from Primaforce. Some reason AAKG/Citrulline doesn’t work as well for me. So I’m stuck with a constant prolactin spike unfortunately.

good to see u there man, i asked if it was you, but u didnt respond lol

i hear ya on the redundancy man…what really gets me annoyed is the 15-16 yr olds askin questions about prohormones/steroids etc…

anyway, yeah arginine is def the way to go…check out my post at bb.com on it:

its right after your post

Greenteacup-Raising Dopamine would not be a problem unless it was raised too much. The substances I mention would not in my opinion raise Dopamine levels to a dangerous degree. You would know if your Dopamine was seriously raised as you would get a high from it.So monitoring the situation is easy.

Member18510-You are right about Cabergoline but I dont know enough about this substance to know if it has undesirable side effects. The bodybuilders in this forum would know more about that than me.

crzyakta, that’s some great info you replied to that thread. It really is interesting when you consider insulin and how it effects NO.

BTW, what supps you take for lifting and what are you using to prevent hair loss these days?

hey clemenza…for lifting, just these:

creatine ethyl ester (bulk powder, but i will soon drop this on reports of kidney issues)
glutamine (5g before lifting)
arginine akg (1.5g in morning and 1.5g at night)
fish/borage oil (more for overall health)
vit c ester (5g twice a day, very good stuff)
b-complex (its a one a day, but very concentrated…includes inositol, PABA and biotin)

I will be re-adding protein powders, just school taking up too much time and funds right now (i graduate in dec, yay!!)

for hair loss:
b-complex
vit c ester
fish/borage oil

niz 2% twice a week
clearsil acne pads (2% salicylic acid, aloe, twice a day)
SBT soap on face and scalp daily
SBT seed/berry oil mixture (also has zinc oxide, GSE, lysine, TTO) at night

keep in mind my head is shaved down to a 0.5-1

I was gonna do a peel this passed weekend, but chose to hold off until after I finish school on the 15th of dec

crzyakta, Yeah interesting to see that some people had kidney issues using CEE. I never made the jump though, I’ve been using mono for years because it’s always worked well for me.

So how has your hair regimen been working for you? Looks like your taking the demodex/fungus killing route. Any luck so far?
