Regrowth using lasers, virile mane and custom topical Try not to laugh. I took these photo's like 10 minutes ago on the cell.. when I looked in the bathroom (double) mirror at the back of my head and saw it "starting" to fill in a little.Honestly it's nothing much but to consider the area was near slick bald before (diffuse VERY badly) To be honest I don't really give a shit what anyone thinks and am not looking for input I was just happy about seeing this because I haven't had ANYTHING work to thicken my hair in my life really so even the least bit of ground covered is a miracle for me. Here are the pictures, the lighting is f'd and the quality sucks but I did what I could and I have a digi cam at work I can use on mon if I feel like it.

really it's not much and certainly i'll have to wait for a viable cure but I was just happy and thought i'd share that with you guys. Keep in mind i'm a nw 7 diffuse with a perfect horseshoe. Just to see any improvement is pretty bad ass for me. Here is what I do Laser 23 min M-W-F VM M-W-F night Custom topical (elsom double nano) containing (curcurmin, resveratrol, biotin, ecgc, cinnamon, melatonin, coffee bean and adenosine. I use this custom topical whenever I work out (Everyday) underneath a hat. I put it on and it is dry in maybe 1 min then I let sit for 15 before I work out. The reason I do this is because the curcurmin is extremely orangish and I don't want to look any worse lol.

For real you don't see them? I embedded the image link via photobucket. They are coming up on my compu. I have been on VM since mid Dec. I don't apply it every day because it is so thick and oily (Probably the emu oil)

Thort, Interesting and thanks for sharing. I like those ingredients in the custom topical. I too used VM for about 3 mos. Thinking about selling my unused bottle.

Also I should mention that I eat 1 clove of garlic every 3 days and take chlorophyll to help with the garlic odor. I also apply garlic and wash about 10 min before lasering because it def. draws a lot of blood to the scalp, it burns though so be careful if you try it. I believe the garlic has helped with the laser tremendously. For the first 2 months of lasering I never had any pump but since I started applying the garlic I have been getting a VERY good pump with my helmet.

Yeah I don't really like the VM at all really I just bought the shit and now i'm stuck with it so I will use it for what it's worth. It could be helping but I doubt it. Since I started using that custom topical my inflammation has been NIL though. I'll probably order this new A&G hair complex in the next couple of weeks so in july if i've got a full head of hair you guys will know it's legit!

Another BTW I should point out that those pics make me look SLICK bald which I am not. My whole head is covered only in the horseshoe the hair is very diffuse. I don't have an area on my head where there isn't SOME terminal hair. Just not a lot inside of that horseshoe.

Thornton, How long have you been using lasers? Also, I would classify you as a NW 6, not a NW7. You have pretty high side coverage, JMHO.

since the middle of jan. On the sides and back it has seriously raised about an 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch in the last month and a half. I shave my head with no guard usually every 3 weeks or so but it has been five weeks now since I last shaved it. Here is what has happened since late jan early feb. My hair on the sides is creeping up toward the middle of my head. Hopefully they will meet but they still have a little while until they get there.

Damn can't wait to see what kind of results you get with this regiment after 12 months. Pretty exciting isn't it. I love how you have curcumin, resveratol and cinnamon in your topical. The curcumin is probably working wonders for that inflammation as well. Curious... how much do you pay for that topical and how long does it last? That topical is pretty bad ass.

***BTW I have some comparison pictures from oct 2008 so you can see how BAD it really was. I'm very excited just to see any good growth and this was honestly more than I expected.*** Hapy it is a great topical. I wouldn't be able to get away with it if I wasn't able to wear a hat to work out(the curcurmin). When I wear hats my scalp becomes very inflamed so I quit wearing them altogether barring the 1.5 hours when i'm working out. Seriously though since I've started this top I have had NO inflammation and you would def. see it because my scalp is pretty bare up top. The price is $173 for 84 grams which lasts for 2.7 months($64 a month). I ordered of elsom (Btw they are an AMAZING company) and I can literally smell the curcurmin in there. They gave me a free bottle of extra topical 28g along with 2 free facial moisturizers.

Very interesting. What did you use as your base and everything in the forumulator?

(elsom double nano (btw most expensive)) containing (curcurmin, resveratrol, biotin, ecgc, cinnamon, melatonin, coffee bean and adenosine. You could pick up a custom topical with double emulsion nano's containing curcurmin, resveratrol, and cinn for probably 35-40 $ a month

What is the added benefit of double emulsion? I would probably go with coconut, jojoba or olive oil as my base.

I used grape seed oil (Procyanidins) btw. I would imagine the double emulsion helps with the stability of the formulation (shelf life) I just found this about double emulsion Double emulsions are colloidal systems of great interest for the pharmaceutics industry as they enable to encapsulate both hydrophilic and lipophilic molecules. However, their formulation is very delicate and requires an important know-how. Their characterisation is also quite limited with classical techniques that, for most of them require dilution (particle size), or are not quantitative (microscopy). The study of the kinetics of release of the active encapsulated in the internal emulsion is also very interesting for the formulator. However, here again, very few techniques are available apart from the Turbiscan Lab (see application note “Study of the release of an encapsulated active in a double emulsion”).

I also just read from a book on emulsion for topical use that Oil Water Oil emulsion lasted the longest while the Water Oil (double Emulsion) was not far behind. Actually the Krillosomes are the most expensive! Although I don't think it's an option in the Formulator http://www.elsomresearch.com/shopping/products/krill-nanosomes.htm I'm sure you've read their pages on their tech...?

I think I might go the elsom route one day. the coffee bean(caffeine) doesn't negate the adenosine?

Hey everyone thanks for the support and I will most likely be reporting back tomorrow with some better pictures. I will take some of the regrowth and then some all around shots so you can get a better understanding of my loss. I also have pictures on my work computer from late last year that can be used as comparison. Lakers: I really didn't think about the negation with using the two together. I will continue to use this formulation though because so far it has made my hair/scalp feel better than ever before. Elsom is really a great company to deal with and I would recommend anyone to order from them. (great cust. service, shipping from Texas to Michigan in 3 days!) Jake, I didn't even realize that info was on there so I will def. check that out tomorrow thanks for the heads up. Honestly I was like I need the most powerful(or second most to krillsomes) formulation and I kind of jumped the gun. Honestly I am so excited to even have a little regrowth.. don't get me wrong my hair condition is still f'd but even a little battle won like this goes a long way. Hopefully if nothing else this thread can help to instill some hope for everyone on these boards!

I don't think you jumped the gun. Have you seen the price of the Krillosome product?? It would be interesting to try though...

Hey all. Elsom does seem like a good company to deal with. I was reading some of the old journal articles they endorse and found where a doctor of Elsom posts. Me and Dr. Yechiel are having an interesting conversation here. http://skincare-cosmeceuticals.com/formulations/index.php/topic,53.msg144.html#msg144 And noone had posted on that board for months! Great response time.

I wish Dr. AQ would respond like that. Dr. Y will sometimes not respond to every little question(which is less than 1%)..but when he does, they're detailed. I mean..that was his "initial response"?? I will most likely add their ScalpXtreme product to my regimen one of these days.
