This is exciting stuff, and not just for hair growth.

Yes, but that was a previous study. It was criticized for possibly not following the Acell protocol. Dr Jones claims he did, whereas there are some reports that indicate that Acell thinks he didn't. The issue is that Dr Jones supposedly didn't keep the wound moist with ECM during the entire treatment, which is an absolute requirement. Also, the fact that he failed does not exclude the option that someone else makes it work (as in the present case).

Seeing new hair grow in a HT scar is astounding, at least to me. I don't have a HT myself, not do I plan on getting one, but the implications of these results reach far beyond HTs, if they are not misrepresentations of the truth and can be replicated, IMO.

Naturally, we need more details, but it sure looks promising at this point.

"We are growing new hair in prior donor scar sites as well as duplicating (growing multiple hairs from a single transplanted beard or donor hair) in the bald recipient area" states Dr. Ted Chaglassian, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and former Chief of Plastic Surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital and Attending Physician at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC. He further states: "Where we go from here is anyone's guess but the future of cloning growing hair has just been made a reality in the present!"

Basically they are saying they are succeeding where Dr Jones failed. Naturally, they could simply be lying or exaggerating.

Oh, and just a heads-up: there is some controversy regarding Dr Hitzig's reputation.
