Did anyone experience itching in their eye brows? not sure if it is related to hair loss..but just curious...my hair/scalp is not itchy at all..its just the eye brows..I am just on maca + shen min + caffeine topical...

Seker - My Eyebrows itched alot when I first came off Propecia. My scalp and eyebrows were itching like crazy - 5 years later and my Scalp still itches but my eyebrow itch is less these days. Due to the itch I lost 50% of my eyebrow hair - they thinned even if I didn't touch them.

When I came off Propecia my hormones were all over the place and I'm sure this is the reason my eyebrows itched so much and thinned out. Its the reason why my scalp itches like mad 24/7 even today.

Incidentally - my mums eyebrows itched and thinned out a few years ago when she was going through the menopause. Again HORMONES are to blame.

Looking at you regime I'd be a little suspect of the maca as it has an effect on hormones. Did you have the itch before or after including maca in your diet?

Maca is to balance the harmones..There was one other post with a link to podcast of Dr.wong explaining things..donot remember the thread..you can search here..

I am not sure if it is Maca..am talking it in lesser quantity....indeed, I had a bit of itch earlier as well..Couldnt figure out where it came from..but i remember its been there for a while...

maybe demodex ? i'll try applying TTO on my eyebrows and see..

Yes TTO oil did help the itch for me - I mixed it with Olive Oil. Don't leave it in for too long though.

What really worked for me was washing my face with DETOL SOAP - I can't tell you how fantastic it was!!I had suffered with the itching forever - and then one day I started washing my face with Detol face soap and - it KILLED the itching within days. I've now got the itchy eyebrow problem under control thanks to detol soap - try it I'm serious.

Detol soap is Antibacterial - may be I had Demodex (whatever they are) in my eyebrows aswell and the Detol kicked their arse! Try it - I bet you will be thanking me within a week!

I don't have a problem with my eyebrows being itchy right now, but when I was a teenager I had very itchy eyebrows. After it stopped happening, I just kind of assumed that it was a hormonal issue.

Demodex mite. Demodex folliculorum and demodex brevis.

Folliculorum is also known as the follicle mite as well as the ocular mite (eye mites). Here are some on an eyelash

So Creep, is there a possibility that these mites climb up to scalp and cause hair loss there?? though my scalp is less itchy..

my condition is diffuse thinning on top/sides...

Sad to say but steroid cream (1%) twice a week on the eyebrow will help the itch and fall out.

Have some other agents "natural" that will be posted out soon if they work will let you know.

Does Detol Soap kill the domodex mites? Since I started washing my face with Detol I've stopped the itch in my eyebrows in its tracks and some thickness has returned.
