Update on Dutasteride (Avolve) Access in Canada

According to a letter from Health Canada's Bureau of Pharmaceutical Assessment, Dutasteride has been granted the name AVOLVE. It is not yet approved in Canada, but they mentioned how a citizen can obtain access to it once it is available elsewhere.

Through the countries Special Access Programme (SAP), citizens are allowed to either bring in up to a 3 month personal supply from another country when they carry it in themselves, or their doctors can request access to the drug through the SAP.

It is not known if the Canadian drug name will also be the drug's name in the US. The names Zygara and Duagen have been rejected.
